Job Description
A large mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager to lead all quality assurance and quality control efforts for HVAC and mechanical systems on a major construction project. This individual will serve as the quality leader for the project, ensuring all installations comply with contract requirements, engineering specifications, manufacturer recommendations, applicable codes, and customer quality standards.
The QA/QC Manager will partner closely with engineering, BIM, fabrication, project management, field operations, commissioning teams, and external stakeholders to proactively prevent deficiencies, reduce rework, and support successful project delivery. This position requires a strong mechanical construction background and a hands-on approach to driving quality throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience
• 10+ years of experience within mechanical construction, HVAC, or MEP projects
• 5+ years of experience in a QA/QC leadership, Quality Manager, or Quality Assurance role
• Extensive knowledge of commercial and industrial HVAC systems including hydronic piping, ductwork, air distribution systems, mechanical equipment, and controls
• Experience performing field inspections and quality audits on mechanical installations
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contract documents, P&IDs, shop drawings, and submittals
• Experience developing and implementing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), quality procedures, and project quality management plans
• Strong understanding of commissioning, startup readiness, testing procedures, TAB (Testing, Adjusting & Balancing), and system turnover
• Experience managing punch lists, deficiency tracking, corrective actions, and quality documentation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or BIM 360
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across field teams, engineering groups, contractors, and owners

• Experience supporting large-scale pharmaceutical, healthcare, industrial, manufacturing, or mission-critical construction projects.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
• Certified Construction Quality Manager (CCQM)
• OSHA 30 Certification
• Welding inspection certification
• Mechanical commissioning experience
• LEED Accreditation
• Experience supporting prefabrication or modular construction quality programs
