Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Network Administrator to sit at Joint Base Andrews. This individual will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure supporting mission-critical operations. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Cisco routing and switching, network security hardening, Layer 2/Layer 3 troubleshooting, and encryption technologies within a classified environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on secure, complex network systems while partnering with government personnel, vendors, and technical teams to ensure reliable network performance and compliance with federal security standards.

Compensation:
$65/hr to $75/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related network engineering experience (or additional experience in lieu of degree)
Current DoD 8140 IAT Level II Certification (CCNA, Sec+, etc)
Expert knowledge of LAN switching technologies: VLANs, VTP, Port Security, Spanning Tree, Layer 2/Layer 3 Switching
Expert knowledge of Layer 3 routing protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, IS-IS
Expert-level Layer 1 and Layer 2 troubleshooting experience in both unclassified and classified environments
Strong understanding of DoD network and application security hardening requirements
Experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting network encryption devices
Experience with GEM-X or equivalent DoD management tools
Experience with DoD COMSEC management processes and procedures

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with Cisco ISE
Experience with Cisco DNA Center
Knowledge of Air Force, Pentagon, and/or AFNCR environments
Previous experience supporting the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), or Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB)
