Job Description

This Field Service Engineer role supports semiconductor equipment in the field by responding to customer service calls, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring timely resolution. The engineer is responsible for properly managing and maintaining company assets, including tools, test equipment, and traveling inventory, in line with company policies. Strong communication is key, as this person will promptly return customer messages and provide updates throughout the service process. The role also requires maintaining accurate records of all service work performed and completing both internal and customer documentation with a high level of quality and timeliness. Additionally, the engineer will participate in ongoing training and must successfully complete required courses with a passing score of 75% or higher. Overall, this position is ideal for someone who is organized, responsive, and committed to delivering high-quality field support.

Required Skills & Experience

· Associate's Degree
· Ability to effectively communicate information to customers and management regarding service activities and schedules
· Ability to follow precise instruction
· Ability to perform selected routine service calls (preventive maintenance and basic emergency service) on one or more models of a product line (measured by instrument certification)
· Ability to install and qualify a system
· Ability to work from schematics using various test equipment, mathematical calculation, and instrumentation
· Knowledge of analog and digital circuitry
· Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
· Demonstrate strong work ethic
· Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with people at all levels within the organization and outside of the company
· Ability to drive an automobile
· Ability to identify and distinguish color-codes
· Ability to quickly transport from location to location (i.e., air, car, etc.)
· Ability to transport parts and toolbox from car to equipment site
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Hand-eye coordination at a level to support a range of activities from very fine (delicate) to large, leveraged type item
· Expected to use PPE when required
· Must be available for on-call service calls (8:00am-8:00pm)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
