Manual QA Tester - Atlanta

We are seeking a Manual QA Tester to join a collaborative, fast-paced team working on a mobile application in the restaurant/ordering space. This role will initially focus heavily on manual testing (approx. 90%), with opportunities to grow into API testing, automation, and broader QA responsibilities over time.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, team-oriented, and adaptable, with a willingness to jump in wherever needed and contribute to the team’s overall success.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform manual testing of mobile applications, including end-to-end user flows (e.g., ordering/menu functionality)
• Execute test cases, document defects, and partner with developers to resolve issues
• Participate in testing related to customer-facing application experiences, ensuring quality and usability
• Support API/backend testing efforts as needed
• Collaborate closely with QA team members, developers, and stakeholders to drive quality outcomes
• Contribute to a startup-like team environment where flexibility and ownership are critical
• Gradually take on additional responsibilities in automation and API testing as the role evolves


Compensation:
$40/hr to $50/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

• 6+ years of experience in QA/testing
• Strong experience with manual testing, particularly for mobile applications
• Exposure to or working knowledge of API testing
• Willingness to perform hands-on manual testing work (not purely automation-focused)
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environment

• Experience with mobile app testing (iOS/Android)
• Familiarity with any test automation tools (no specific tool required)
• Experience in API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST clients)
• Exposure to middleware or backend systems
• Industry experience in restaurant, retail, or ordering platforms
• Spanish language proficiency (strongly preferred) – helpful for validating Spanish-language functionality within the application
