Job Description

® Maintaining and updating a library of hydraulic models in Synergi Gas
◊ Using records, maps, sketches and working designs in a GIS and/or CAD software
® Validate the accuracy of hydraulic models in Synergi Gas using data from enterprise systems
® Prepare maps, graphics, charts and other visual aids used to facilitate communication
® Establish, organize and maintain detailed record using various computer programs
® May assist with training, direction and quality control of others engaged in similar activities
® May assist with the development of GIS applications, processes and procedures

Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of hands-on GIS experience
• Proficient in GIS software such as ArcGIS, ArcMap, ESRI products, or other comparable GIS platforms
• Experience using GIS tools to analyze, maintain, and validate geospatial data
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Able to think strategically and understand the broader business impact of GIS data and decisions
• Comfortable working in ambiguous environments where multiple data sources may contain conflicting information
• Experience analyzing, validating, and reconciling discrepancies across datasets to determine the most accurate source of truth

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Previous experience working within the utility industry, such as gas, electric, telecommunications, transportation, or related sectors
• Experience supporting QA/QC initiatives, data validation, and data quality efforts
• Hands-on experience building or supporting predictive models, often gained through advanced academic research or graduate-level projects
• Familiarity with programming languages commonly used in GIS environments
• Experience with Synergi Gas (or similar Synergi products such as Synergi Electric, Synergi Pipeline Simulator, or Synergi Water)
• Proven experience supporting data migration projects, including data mapping, validation, and conversion activities
