Job Description

Our utility infrastructure client is seeking an Engineering Technologist to support traffic control planning, design, and field operations for utility construction projects throughout the Marietta area. This position will be responsible for developing traffic control plans, conducting field reviews, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring work zone compliance with applicable safety and regulatory requirements.

This role is ideal for someone with hands-on traffic control experience who enjoys balancing office-based design work with field verification and project support activities.

Required Skills & Experience

2+ years of hands-on Traffic Control experience.
Experience creating, modifying, or reviewing Traffic Control Plans (TCPs).
Knowledge of MUTCD standards and work zone safety requirements.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local travel.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience using RapidPlan or similar traffic control design software.
ATSSA certification (Traffic Control Technician, Traffic Control Supervisor, or equivalent).
National Safety Council or other traffic safety certifications.
Utility, telecommunications, power distribution, roadway, or DOT project experience.
Associate degree, technical certification, or coursework in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Transportation, or a related discipline.
