Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Application Developer to support an application development initiative for United Airlines. This individual will help lead architecture and technical design efforts while remaining hands-on with development activities. They will mentor engineering teams, establish development standards, oversee code quality, and drive implementation of scalable AWS-based solutions. The role will work closely with product, business, and engineering stakeholders to deliver secure, resilient applications utilizing modern engineering practices, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code, and AI-assisted development tools

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of software engineering experience including leadership/mentorship responsibilities
• Strong backend development experience using .NET and REST APIs
• Hands-on experience building cloud-native applications on AWS
• Experience with microservices, serverless architectures, and distributed systems
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code
• Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and performance optimization
• Experience mentoring developers and leading technical discussions
• Angular experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Terraform experience
• Kafka, Solace, or other event-driven messaging platforms
• AWS certifications
