Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Cost Engineer to support project controls, cost forecasting, and financial reporting for a large industrial construction project on Alaska's North Slope. This position will work closely with project leadership to monitor budgets, track project progress, manage change orders, and ensure accurate cost forecasting throughout the project lifecycle. The pay rate for this role is between $40-$55 an hour.
Schedule & Travel
• 2 weeks on-site, 2 weeks off
• 12-hour workdays while on rotation
• Candidates can live anywhere but must be able to travel as required
Day to Day:
• Support project cost controls and project controls reporting
• Develop and maintain project budgets and cost forecasts
• Track project progress, productivity, and earned value metrics
• Assist with change order estimates, change requests, and change management
• Create weekly and monthly cost reports for project leadership
• Monitor budget performance and identify cost risks or variances
• Analyze and communicate project trends through reports and dashboards
• Support Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development and work package coordination
•Work closely with field teams to track progress and productivity

○ Cost Controls
○ Project Controls
○ Cost Coordination
• Experience supporting industrial construction projects
• Strong understanding of:
○ Cost forecasting
○ Budget management
○ Change order management
○ Progress measurement
○ Cost analysis and reporting
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
