About This Opportunity
Insight Global is seeking a Quality Technician to join a leading manufacturing organization in Millington, MD. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring products meet quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with inspection equipment, technical drawings, and cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and product excellence.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing quality experience who enjoys troubleshooting issues, maintaining high standards, and contributing directly to operational success.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections to verify product quality requirements
Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and testing equipment
Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and document inspection results
Monitor production activities to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
Support containment and disposition of non-conforming materials and products
Assist with root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, Customer Service, Planning, and Logistics teams to resolve quality concerns
Support process audits, calibration activities, and safety initiatives
Maintain accurate quality records, inspections, and documentation

Required Skills & Experience
Must Have Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years of quality experience within a manufacturing, fabrication, or production environment
• Experience using precision measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and procedures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
• Basic Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks in a manufacturing setting
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
• Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• First Article Inspection (FAI) experience
• Manufacturing process auditing experience
• Knowledge of non-conformance management and corrective actions
• Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives
