Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a seasoned Disaster Recovery & BCP Lead to join one of their investment banking clients in New York City, Warren, NJ or Westport, CT. The lead will be responsible for leading enterprise-wide Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and resiliency-readiness efforts across a complex, mission-critical environment. The role will serve as the technical owner for disaster recovery strategy, recovery execution, application resiliency planning, recovery readiness, and program maturity. This role will help turn the Never Down resilience strategy into an executable recovery capability across critical applications, infrastructure dependencies, runbooks, testing evidence, and operational handoffs. They will partner with infrastructure, application, cybersecurity, risk, and business teams to ensure critical systems can be recovered efficiently, prioritized appropriately, and validated through repeatable testing, tabletop exercises, failover events, QA/lab validations, and recovery simulations. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week onsite.
First 90-180 days
•Review current DR/BCP documentation, recovery runbooks, application inventories, and testing evidence.
•Identify priority gaps in recovery readiness, dependency mapping, ownership, recovery sequencing, and remediation tracking.
•Support Never Down QA Lab, tabletop, failover, and recovery validation activities, with clear reporting on readiness and open risks.
Additional responsibilities
•Lead enterprise-wide Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) programs
•Develop and maintain recovery strategies, policies, governance, and resiliency standards
•Own application recovery planning, readiness, execution, and recovery strategy
•Partner with business and technology teams to align recovery priorities and capabilities
•Conduct BIAs, define RTO/RPOs, and maintain application recovery inventories and dependencies
•Oversee recovery testing, failovers, tabletop exercises, simulations, and validation activities
•Maintain recovery runbooks, playbooks, procedures, and operational documentation
•Coordinate recovery efforts during major incidents, outages, and disaster events
•Identify recovery gaps, drive remediation, and improve recovery readiness
•Track program maturity, testing results, resiliency metrics, and audit/compliance requirements
•Serve as the primary liaison for DR/BCP governance, regulatory, and audit activities

Required Skills & Experience
•10+ years of experience in Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity (BCP), Operational Resilience, or Technology Risk
•Proven success leading enterprise-scale DR programs in complex environments
•Strong knowledge of application recovery planning, BIAs, RTO/RPOs, and recovery prioritization
•Experience managing recovery inventories, runbooks, dependency maps, and testing documentation
•Technical expertise across infrastructure, cloud, networking, databases, cybersecurity, backup/recovery, and enterprise applications
•Hands-on experience with infrastructure recovery, failovers, DR testing, and tabletop exercises
•Ability to coordinate recovery efforts during incidents, outages, and disaster events
•Strong communication skills with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders
•Proven ability to drive remediation and cross-functional recovery initiatives
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
•Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, or other highly regulated industry experience
•Experience with enterprise DR tools and technologies
•Knowledge of cloud resiliency strategies across Azure and AWS environments
•Experience with QA Lab, Never Down, high availability, failover testing, application resiliency validation, and production-readiness exercises.
•Experience with VMware/VCF, Citrix/NetScaler, Microsoft 365, DNS, load balancing, firewall, routing, identity, and monitoring dependencies.
•Relevant certifications such as CBCP, MBCP, CBCI, PMP, ITIL, or similar.
