Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Spacecraft Test Engineer in the Greater San Jose Area. You will enable day-to-day execution of spacecraft integration and test flow, support non-conformance investigation to determine root cause, support AIT in the setup and activation of production lines and development and qualification of hardware test setups, support the development of flight hardware, ground support equipment and qualification test assets and support electrical engineering during development and pre-production phases of hardware life-cycles, as required.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
4+ years of experience in aerospace or similar industry
Familiarity with programming and scripting languages (i.e. Python, Tcl, C++, SQL)
Ability to perform bring-up and acceptance tests for PCBAs
Understanding and experience in environmental testing such as vibration, shock, thermal, burn-in, and TVAC
Experience working on power, avionics, communication and/or payload subsystems

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience working in a Class 10k (ISO 7) cleanroom environment

Documentation and configuration management experience

Experience writing test plans, procedures and providing go/no-go judgment and rationale

Experience troubleshooting electronics hardware

Proficiency in understanding PCB schematics and layout tools
