Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Automation Engineer (AI-Enabled Certification & Security Automation) for a leading financial services client. This role is focused on designing and building advanced automation solutions that accelerate vendor product certification while reducing security risks tied to vulnerabilities. The engineer will develop scalable, end-to-end certification workflows integrated with CI/CD pipelines, ensuring consistent, traceable validation with minimal manual effort. Leveraging modern AI tools such as Copilot and Claude, this role will drive significant productivity gains in code generation, troubleshooting, and documentation. The ideal candidate brings a strong automation-first mindset, experience with security and compliance, and a passion for using AI to transform enterprise DevOps and release engineering practices.
Day-to-Day:
• Design and implement automated certification pipelines for vendor products (Kafka, MQ, Tibco)
• Build and maintain reusable automation frameworks for scalable validation workflows
• Automate CVE validation, patch verification, and security remediation processes
• Leverage AI tools (Copilot, Claude) to accelerate development and troubleshooting
• Integrate automation solutions into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)
• Partner with Security and Platform teams to define certification criteria and compliance standards
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure consistent certification and release processes
• Generate compliance reports, audit evidence, and documentation (AI-assisted where applicable)
• Continuously improve automation efficiency, reliability, and observability
• Optimize workflows for faster, repeatable, and audit-ready delivery cycles

Required Skills & Experience
• Strong experience in automation engineering (building scalable workflows and reusable frameworks)
• Hands-on expertise with Python, Ansible, or Java
• Proven experience in security automation, including:
o CVE validation
o Patch verification
o Compliance evidence generation
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) and Git-based workflows
• Experience working with vendor/middleware technologies (Kafka, MQ, Tibco)
• Strong understanding of Linux, shell scripting, networking fundamentals
• Experience working in regulated, audit-driven environments (traceability and compliance focus)
• Experience using AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Claude, etc.) in development workflows
• Strong collaboration experience with Security and Platform Engineering teams
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with Mythos standards or enterprise security frameworks
• Familiarity with enterprise change management processes
• Experience building certification or validation pipelines
• Exposure to AI-driven automation for security and testing workflows
• Experience generating audit artifacts and compliance reporting
• Strong troubleshooting skills in complex enterprise environments
• Background working directly with external vendors and product certification
