Day to day:
Working closely with the Sr. Data Scientist , this person will support strategic, PE-backed initiatives focused on introducing AI and predictive modeling across the business. They will primarily partner with the commercial/business development team to analyze large datasets, support market growth analysis, and build models to predict trends such as customer risk and contract outcomes. This role sits at the intersection of data and business, requiring both technical execution and strong stakeholder collaboration.
Responsibilities:
• Build and support predictive models for business initiatives
• Analyze large datasets to uncover trends and insights related to growth and risk
• Partner closely with commercial and business development teams
• Assist in developing AI-driven strategies and initiatives
• Work within cloud environments to access and process data
Communicate insights and findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience
Must Haves:
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or similar technical field
• 1–3 years of experience (entry-level / early career)
• Hands-on experience building models (designing, developing, and working through modeling process)
• Exposure to AI / predictive modeling
• Basic understanding of MLOps concepts (theory-level understanding; doesn’t need deep hands-on experience)
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (any platform; understanding of how models/data exist in cloud environments)
• Strong Python skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally with business teams and translate data insights
• Strong communication skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Plusses:
• Experience in a formal data scientist role
• Exposure to tools/platforms like Spark, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric
Experience accessing, cleaning, and working with data in cloud-based environments
