Job Description
One of our largest national retail clients is seeking a React Developer to join their Point-of-Sale organization. Their daily responsibilities will include building and enhancing React UI components that support checkout, payment, receipt, and service-related workflows while collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, map business processes, and participate in solution design discussions. This individual will integrate frontend applications with existing APIs and backend services, ensuring seamless functionality across retail transaction systems. Additionally, they will create and execute unit and integration tests, troubleshoot and remediate defects, and support QA and UAT activities to help deliver high-quality, reliable point-of-sale experiences.

Required Skills & Experience
-5+ years of frontend development experience with React, JavaScript, and TypeScript
-Experience building and testing user-facing web applications
-Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and integrating frontend applications with backend services
-Experience troubleshooting defects and supporting QA/UAT testing
-Previous experience working in retail technology, POS (Point of Sale), checkout systems, or other high-volume transaction environments
-Experience working in Agile teams with Git, pull requests, and code reviews
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Knowledge of payment flows or device-integrated applications
-Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based deployments
-Experience working with in-store hardware or peripheral integrations
