Job Description

The IT Operations Governance Analyst supports Infrastructure and Platform teams by coordinating and validating compliance with SOX controls, audits, security policies, engineering standards, and ServiceNow CMDB requirements. This role ensures governance and configuration management are embedded into daily operations rather than treated as periodic audit tasks.

Pay Rate: $50 - $60/hr

Required Skills & Experience

Coordinate SOX controls, track evidence and remediation, and support audits to maintain readiness.
Monitor compliance activities, maintain procedures, and identify control gaps.
Validate adherence to security policies and translate control requirements into operational tasks.
Ensure CMDB data is accurate, properly classified, and aligned to CSDM; address data quality issues.
Oversee Incident, Change, and Request processes; support CAB reviews.
Track risks, vulnerabilities, and remediation with clear ownership and completion.
Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to strengthen governance and data quality.

Required Experience

Experience in IT Operations or Infrastructure environments
Familiarity with SOX controls, IT audits, and compliance frameworks
Working knowledge of ITSM processes and ServiceNow CMDB
Basic understanding of IT security principles
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
