Job Description
A global leader in the athletic apparel industry is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead two highly visible and strategically important transformation initiatives within the Merchandising and Planning organization. This individual will be responsible for driving program execution, stakeholder alignment, cross-functional coordination, governance, and detailed process mapping across multiple business functions.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience within a retail, merchandising, product operations, or supply chain environment and understands the complexities of bringing products to market through highly interconnected business processes and technology ecosystems.
This role requires an individual who can operate effectively at both the strategic and tactical levels, engaging senior executives while also partnering closely with working teams to define future-state processes, manage dependencies, and ensure successful program delivery.
Key Programs
1. Merchandising Visualization Program
Lead the continued expansion and adoption of an enterprise visualization platform designed to improve visibility into product lifecycle timelines, launch readiness, assortment planning, and critical merchandising milestones.
Responsibilities include:
Driving roadmap execution and stakeholder alignment
Assessing user adoption and identifying opportunities for expanded capabilities
Defining access requirements across business groups
Managing program timelines, dependencies, and deliverables
Translating business needs into future-state operational processes
Supporting modernization efforts across merchandising and planning functions
2. AI-Enabled Assortment & Product Decisioning Program
Partner with internal business and technology teams to support the development and implementation of AI-driven capabilities used to inform product assortment decisions.
Examples include:
Product recommendations based on store demographics
Geographic and climate-based assortment planning
Competitive market insights
Customer and community proximity analysis
Data-driven merchandising decision support
The Program Manager will work closely with internal AI and technology teams to help define business requirements, prioritize initiatives, establish governance, and support implementation planning.

Required Skills & Experience
- 3 + years minimum (ideally 4-5) across Merchandising, Merchandising Operations, Supply Chain, Product Operations, or related business functions, including demonstrated success leading large-scale cross-functional transformation programs
- Must come from a corporate retail background
- Deep understanding of merchandising workflows, GTM processes, and the interdependencies across Merchandising, Planning, Finance, Global Pricing, PLM, Product Operations, Technology, Change Management, and Learning teams
- Strong program and project management expertise, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams, dependencies, timelines, risks, and executive communications
- Experience presenting to executive leadership, including Directors, Vice Presidents, SVPs, and C-suite stakeholders
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience gathering requirements and translating business processes into technology-enabled solutions
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Exposure to data visualization initiatives or enterprise reporting solutions
- Experience working on AI-driven business transformation programs
- Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platforms and merchandising systems
