Job Description
Partner with Finance leadership to identify and prioritize AI use cases across Close, FP&A, Revenue, Audit, and Procurement
Collaborate with Finance, IT, and Engineering teams to gather requirements, document business needs, and translate them into scalable data and reporting solutions
Design, build, and maintain financial data models and reporting datasets within Databricks
Serve as a bridge between Finance and Technology teams, helping drive data modernization efforts and improve access to trusted financial data
Own Finance data models and AI readiness, including data quality, controls, lineage, and governance
Leverage embedded ERP AI capabilities and external AI / agentic frameworks where appropriate
Ensure all AI-enabled solutions meet audit, compliance, security, and risk requirements
Track and report measurable outcomes including cycle time reduction, automation rates, forecast accuracy, and manual effort eliminated
Coordinate closely with Technology, Data, and the AI Steering Committee to align solutions with enterprise standards and best practices
Example projects you may lead
Migrate and modernize existing Finance and SOC/SOX reporting into Databricks
Design and implement finance-focused data marts and reporting layers to improve data accessibility and consistency
Design and develop AI agents and agent-assisted workflows that help automate reporting, data retrieval, analysis, controls testing, audit support, and other Finance processes
Develop self-service analytics capabilities and explore AI-enabled reporting and insight generation opportunities

Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 3 years of hands-on software engineering, analytics engineering, solution architecture, or automation development experience, with strong knowledge of Finance, Tax, Payroll, and Accounting processes and systems
High data fluency, including the ability to reason about data models, lineage, and quality (deep data science expertise is not required)
Hands-on experience with Finance systems such as Workday, Workday AI Illuminate, Databricks, Databricks GENIE AI, Zuora, Payment Service Providers, and AuditBoard/Optra (or similar platforms)
Experience with Git & ETL development
Strong SQL and data modeling capabilities with experience working in Databricks environments
Ability to translate Finance business requirements into scalable reporting, data, and analytics solutions
Practical experience working with AI tools, copilots, automation platforms, or agentic workflows
Experience working within data governance, controls, and audit frameworks
Comfort operating in a business analyst role while actively building and deploying solutions
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience developing AI-powered applications, copilots, agents, or workflow automation solutions using platforms such as Azure OpenAI, Databricks AI, Microsoft Copilot Studio, LangChain, or similar technologies
Familiarity with agentic architectures, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, and AI orchestration frameworks
Experience designing, prototyping, and deploying AI solutions that automate complex business workflows, decision support, financial analysis, or operational processes
