Job Description
Our client, a leading energy and EPC organization, is seeking a Project Manager to lead the execution of high-voltage AIS and GIS substation projects. This individual will be responsible for managing project scope, schedule, budget, risk, stakeholder communication, and overall project performance from kickoff through completion.
The ideal candidate combines strong project management skills with experience supporting high-voltage substation EPC projects and can effectively coordinate clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities
• Manage multiple AIS and GIS substation EPC projects simultaneously from initiation through closeout.
• Oversee project scope, schedule, budget, forecasting, and resource planning to ensure successful project execution.
• Lead project teams and coordinate activities across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning functions.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Provide regular project updates, manage expectations, and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation plans to minimize impacts to cost, schedule, and quality.
• Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
• Ensure compliance with EHS requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
• Facilitate issue resolution and drive projects to meet key milestones and deliverables.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred).
• 3–5+ years of Project Management experience supporting AIS and/or GIS substation EPC projects.
• Experience managing project schedules, budgets, forecasting, and stakeholder communications.
• Understanding of high-voltage AIS and GIS substation equipment and project execution.
• Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• PMP Certification.
• Experience working for an EPC firm supporting utility, transmission, or energy infrastructure projects.
• Located in or near Raleigh, NC or Orlando, FL.
• Electrical Engineering degree.
• Experience leading large-scale substation or transmission infrastructure projects.
