DAY TO DAY:
Manage and oversee network builds
Keep vendors on track
Help move projects from “built” → “ready to use”
Create structure, processes, and reports
COPILOT:
This person is great at:
• Building big network projects (like laying cables and setting things up)
• Managing money and budgets
• Working with outside companies (vendors)
• Handling permits and rules
• Updating leadership on progress

Required Skills & Experience
MUST HAVES:
• 7+ years working in telecom, fiber, or internet service provider networks
• Hands-on experience building and managing fiber networks (FTTH, PON, IP, or optical networks)
• Experience troubleshooting complex network issues (Tier II/III support)
UNICORN:
Someone that can configure their systems (Nokia, Fujitsu)
Technical Knowledge
• Understanding of fiber networks (XGS-PON, OLTs/ONTs)
• Knowledge of IP networking (routing, switching, Layer 2/3)
• Experience with optical networks (DWDM or transport systems)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Proficient in monitoring/telemetry, ticketing, log analysis, and config management; scripting/automation
