Organizational Surveys
ORGANIZATIONAL SURVEYS
When used
correctly, organizational surveys are an excellent tool to gain an
efficient and meaningful snapshot of the present state of your company.
Surveys allow you to tap the wealth of individual knowledge and
experience of employees at all levels of your organization. They
provide valuable information about employee concerns and organizational
strengths and weaknesses. They also facilitate planning and decision
making. In addition, because surveys have an "open-ended" component,
participants are able to expand upon survey items and to address
potential problems not included on the survey.
Surveys are customized to your organization targeting specific areas of
concern. Reports graphically depict results and statistically
significant changes from year to year. In addition, in combination with
essay responses, themes are developed in order to tap into the internal
functioning of the company.
Why Do a Survey?
A
successful organization carefully nurtures and builds stable and
rewarding relationships with its employees. It is extremely difficult
for a company to manage its affairs and grow itself without knowing
what its most important assets (employees) believe are its greatest
strengths, weaknesses and profit opportunities. Organizations need to
set the tone to support problem solving and risk.
An
employee satisfaction survey provides individuals with the opportunity
to upwardly consult and be involved in the process of change and
company involvement by offering specific suggestions on how problems
can be addressed, as well as on how improvements can be made.
In addition, an outside survey can provide employees with the
opportunity to voice their opinions in a completely anonymous and
confidential manner without fear of retaliation. They can shed light on
problems long before employees end up leaving or before morale is destroyed,
which can negatively impact production.
In the
case of organizational change, often the only thing gained is a
depressed, anxious and angry workforce. A company needs a means of
re-establishing healthy and productive relationships between employees
and the organization.

report within a very short time frame. Employee responses can be

How Do Surveys Work?
A representative from InsightGlobal
will meet with you to determine your exact needs and expectations. A
plan of action will be developed. For example, what issues should be
measured. What process will be utilized to obtain the targeted
responses? What is the target group? Is observation or a focus group
needed? How long will the project take and at what cost?
The data will be obtained from the participants and analyzed both
quantitatively and qualitatively to determine relevent issues.
InsightGlobal will interpret the results, create a customized report, and present the their analysis and recommendations.
To measure progress, a follow-up survey is recommended after approximately 12 to 18 months.
